    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor instruments such as pressure gauges, feed or weight indicators as well as observe the volume, colour and consistency of the returns from the hole.
    • Employ various sampling techniques according to project and client requirements.
    • Record keeping as required/requested by the client and or Company.
    • Operate and troubleshoot drill and ancillary equipment, including, but not limited to; trucks, support vehicles, pumps, heaters, compressors, mud re-circulation systems, etc.
    • Supervise Drill Assistant and the drill crew to ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
    • Ensure Driller Assistant maintains and organizes equipment, supplies and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.

    Professional Experience / Qualifications

    • Must maintain and possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
    • Have 3-5 years experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling.
    • Have the mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment.
    • Complete and pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.

    Education

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.

      We are actively seeking an Operations and Fleet Administrator (OFA) to join our head office in Prince George. In this pivotal role, you’ll be a key player in this fast-paced environment, providing essential administrative support to our dynamic operations team.

      Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

      • Front office management – greet/register visitors and notify the appropriate parties of their arrival.
      • Calendar and appointment management for operations staff
      • Overseeing ICBC insurance, commercial policies, and documentation
      • Rental vehicle information management
      • Ensuring the proper handling of maintenance records.
      • Continuously tracking fleet and updating operations board.
      • Provide project managers with maintenance records when requested.
      • Tracking kilometers for Health, Safety and Environment department.
      • Assist in ensuring all capital assets are accounted for, and location/condition is documented for reference.
      • General administrative duties as assigned/required.

      Qualifications:

      • 5+ years experience in an industrial office environment or a combination of schooling (i.e., associate degree or certificate) and experience.
      • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
      • Proficiency in MS Office suite, Excel summaries and basic computer skills.
      • Attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
      • Familiarity with operations and fleet management concepts is an asset.
      • Ability to effectively manage relationships with diverse personalities and adapt communication styles accordingly.
      • Demonstrated capability to navigate challenging situations with tact and professionalism, maintaining composure and impartiality in high-pressure environments.
      • Comfortable using various software and platforms for data entry. (SALUS and Microsoft Dynamics Nav are considered assets)
