Low Bed/ Class 1 Driver

    Geotech is seeking a motivated Class 1 Driver to join our growing team. This position is suited to someone who not only enjoys driving across the beautiful landscapes of Western Canada but also enjoys balance in their work. As we are a project based business with a diverse fleet of drill rigs and equipment, every day is different. The primary function is low bedding to drill programs on and off road but you will also help out in the yard and on site where required. This is NOT your typical driving job!

    Ideally candidates will have experience in or ability to:

    • Professional driving (Class 1 vehicles with Air Brakes)
    • Loading and securing equipment and supplies for transport
    • On/off road low bed hauling across Western Canada
    • Filling out appropriate paperwork including inspections and logbooks
    • Operating hand-held tools and offloading equipment as required
    • Assisting Fleet and Operations staff as required
    • Adhering to all Geotech policies including the National Safety Code (NSC)

    Ideally applicants will have:

    • At least 3 years’ of successful Class 1 driving including off road/forestry road experience
    • Heavy equipment hauling and loading experience
    • Ability to organize work, make decisions, and set priorities
    • Strong knowledge of the NSC and documentation including the use of logbooks
    • Knowledge of the drilling industry considered an asset
    • An excellent driving record with references

    *Pay is based on experience. $30-33/hour + Overtime after 40 hours a week.  $150 LOA per night when in the truck sleeper.  Other perks and benefits available.

    Experienced Drill Assistant

      Geotech is seeking Experienced Drill Assistants for upcoming projects across Western and Northern Canada.  We prefer candidates based in Western Canada or Northern territories. This is an excellent opportunity for you to grow your skills within the geotechnical, environmental and exploration drilling industries.  Valid Driver’s Licence is preferred.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Handling drill rods, casing, core tubes and core samples 
      • Loading/off-loading supplies
      • Handling tooling/consumables
      • Assisting an experienced driller where required 

      As a minimum the Drill Assistant must:

      • 2+ years experience in exploration, geotechnical or environmental drilling;
      • Be physically capable of regular and repetitive lifts;
      • Be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening:
      • Have basic mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment, pumps and generators;
      • Have experience working in the field, in remote and/ or varied weather conditions for extended periods of time, and;
      • Have a positive attitude, be self-motivated and the willingness to work hard.

      Geotechnical, Environmental and Exploration Drillers

        Geotech is currently seeking experienced Drillers for projects across western Canada and into the territories.  Geotech operates 45 drills on a variety of exploration, geotechnical and environmental projects. Rotational position with all accommodations and travel paid. Competitive wages, bonus and support team to ensure your experience is positive!  Preference will be given to applicants based in Western Canada.

        As a Driller at Geotech you must:

        • Have 5+ years’ experience in Geotechnical, Environmental or Exploration drilling;
        • Have experience with ODEX, mud/air rotary or various coring methodologies;
        • Possess a valid Class 5/7 Driver’s Licence;
        • Be physically capable of regular and repetitive lifts;
        • Be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and complete online courses/paperwork;
        • Have Standard First Aid or the ability to travel to complete the course;
        • Have mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment;
        • Have experience working in remote and/ or varied weather conditions for extended periods of time, and;
        • Have a positive attitude, be self-motivated and the willingness to work hard.

        Heavy Duty Field Mechanic- Urgent

          Geotech is looking for an experienced HD Field Mechanic to work on rotation up at a long standing exploration program in Nunavut. Competitive wages and benefits offered.  Rotations are 3 weeks on with 3 weeks off. This dynamic position will support our Nunavut operations involving a variety of exploration drilling equipment.  The successful candidate will lead all repairs including diagnostics on support equipment.  All travel and camp costs covered by Geotech

          The ideal candidate thrives in a diverse working environment (including extreme cold) as we have a wide range of drill equipment, trucks and support units. You need to be a team player and be able to problem solve at a high level. 

          Candidates must have experience or ability to:

          • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, diesel engines, and hydraulic units;
          • Inspect and test drill units, diesel compressors, high pressure water pumps, diagnose faults and malfunctions, repair and replace mechanical units;
          • Confidence to review and repair all types of equipment as needed.

          Applicants must have:

          • Exploration drill rig repair/diagnostic experience preferred;
          • At least three years’ of successful industrial experience with hydraulic equipment, operations and mechanical maintenance;
          • Ability to diligently organize work, make decisions, and set priorities;
          • Ability to pass a pre employment drug/alcohol test, medical screening and fitness evaluation;
          • A valid Drivers’ Licence;
          • Welding experience is considered an asset, but not a requirement.

          Receptionist – Administration

            Geotech is actively seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our head office in Prince George, BC.  This role involves working closely with the various teams handling everything from managing the switch board to data entry and special projects. It requires an individual with ambition and the confidence to help support the workload of an ever-changing project based group of companies.

            Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

            • Manage all phone calls for the Prince George, Vernon and Delta, BC offices.
            • Support multiple departments including Operations, Project Management, Sustainability, Sales and the ownership group.
            • Assist with project-based commissary orders submitting to payroll for deductions.
            • Manage and submit timesheets/cash expense forms for payroll.
            • Assist with site specific plans.
            • Reconcile Visas monthly.
            • Compiling information for Health and Safety, HR and Operations teams.
            • Assist with database management.
            • Assisting with company functions catering, meeting room books, etc.
            • General filing, photocopying, scanning and ordering supplies.
            • Work with Administration, Project Management and Operations personnel as needed.


            • 2+ years’ experience in a professional office environment or a combination of schooling (i.e., Office Administration Certificate) and experience.
            • Excellent organizational skills.
            • Excellent verbal and written communication.
            • Excellent use of Microsoft Outlook, MS Word and Excel.
            • Flexible nature and a positive outlook.
