Temporary Operations Administrative Assistant (Maternity Leave Coverage) – Geotech Drilling
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Operations Administrative Assistant to provide maternity leave coverage at our Prince George office. This is a temporary, full‑time role supporting day‑to‑day operations, administration, and coordination across teams. The successful candidate will manage front desk responsibilities, internal communications, and provide administrative support to the operations team and Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet visitors, manage phone lines, and coordinate meetings
- Handle mail, deliveries, and general office upkeep
- Order office and site supplies (e.g., coveralls, coffee, decals) and support basic equipment maintenance
- Update the Operations Job Board and assist with asset tracking
- Maintain records, direct staff to shared files, and manage general administrative tasks
- Coordinate taxi vouchers
- Support documentation for contractor information packages
- Take project photos for the Company Cam program
- Prepare project report cards
- Maintain key tracking and other operational logs
- Provide ongoing administrative support to the Operations Manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or office coordination experience
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working in shared/cloud‑based drives
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with professionalism
- Experience in operations administration or a multifaceted office environment within an industrial setting is an asset
Additional Information
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- On‑site role based in the Prince George office
- Temporary position with approximately 12–18 months of coverage

Yard Technician
Yard Technician
Geotech Drilling Services Ltd. is looking for a motivated Yard Technician to join their team in Prince George! This dynamic role will involve general yard tasks to effectively support the loading and unloading of equipment for drilling programs based across Western Canada. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our Yard team and the effective preparation of drilling related equipment and supplies.
Yard Technician Responsibilities:
- Performing routine laboring tasks on a daily basis such as yard clean up.
- Moving, carrying and hauling materials and inventory.
- Filling requisitions for project work.
- Operating hand-held equipment and forklift.
- Sorting, inspecting, and cleaning equipment for future projects.
- Understanding and observing all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self, co-workers and Geotech property.
- Ensure outgoing loads are logically organized, complete and secure for transport
- Ensure quality of outgoing loads and report all defects or errors to the Yard Foreman
- Maintain constant communication with yard technicians and operations staff
- Exert excellent prioritizing skill to meet and exceed project timelines
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks at hand
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Drilling experience in various methodologies such as Coring, Auguring and Air Rotary considered assets
- Knowledge of drilling equipment, related tooling and consumables
- Forklift experience considered an asset
- Must have valid Class 5/7 (N) License
Rate:
$21.00 – $28.00 per hour based on experience.
Schedule:
Working schedule is four days a week, including weekends. Typically this will consist of 10 hours per day and 40 hours per week. The typical schedule is 6:30am – 5:00pm.
Geotechnical Driller

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor instruments such as pressure gauges, feed or weight indicators as well as observe the volume, colour and consistency of the returns from the hole.
- Employ various sampling techniques according to project and client requirements.
- Record keeping as required/requested by the client and or Company.
- Operate and troubleshoot drill and ancillary equipment, including, but not limited to; trucks, support vehicles, pumps, heaters, compressors, mud re-circulation systems, etc.
- Supervise Drill Assistant and the drill crew to ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
- Ensure Driller Assistant maintains and organizes equipment, supplies and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.
Professional Experience / Qualifications
- Must maintain and possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
- Have 3-5 years experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling.
- Have the mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment.
- Complete and pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Compensation
$30.00 – $38.00 per hour plus bonuses.
Experienced Exploration Driller
Diamond Driller – Surface Exploration
Location: Remote Camp, Nunavut
Hours of Work:
4 weeks on, 2 weeks off, 12 hr days.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract core samples using the Zinex A5 Diamond Core Drills.
- Monitor instruments such as pressure gauges, feed or weight indicators as well as observe the volume, colour and consistency of the returns from the hole.
- Employ various sampling techniques according to project and client requirements.
- Record keeping as required/requested by the client and or Company.
- Operate and troubleshoot drill and ancillary equipment, including, but not limited to; trucks, support vehicles, pumps, heaters, compressors, mud re-circulation systems, etc.
- Supervise Drill Assistant and the drill crew to ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
- Ensure Driller Assistant maintains and organizes equipment, supplies and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.

Experienced Exploration Drill Assistant

Exploration Drill Assistant
We’re seeking Drill Assistants with a minimum of 1 year of experience on exploration projects. If you thrive in dynamic environments and are eager to contribute to our team’s success, then this opportunity is for you.

- Handle drill rods and casing, core tubes and core samples.
- Maintain and organize appropriate inventory levels of necessary materials, supplies and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.
- Assist the Driller, client and other team members where required.
- Regular and repetitive lifts of 50-90 lbs.
Professional Experience / Qualifications
- Must have 1 or more years experience in the drilling industry.
- Proven experience in helicopter supported operations is an asset.
- Must have a class 5 or 7(N) Driver’s License.
- Have the mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment.
- Complete and pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.
- Complete and pass project specific safety courses.
- Have experience working in the field, in remote and/or varied weather conditions for extended periods of time.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Compensation
$25- $28 per hour plus meter bonus.
