Headquartered in Prince George, Geotech was established in 1996 with a second operating center added in Vernon in 2001.

Since 1996 these operating centers have supported domestic drilling programs throughout Western Canada including; British Columbia Alberta, Saskatchewan, Yukon, NWT, and Nunavut. Internationally, these centers have supported programs in Greenland, Suriname, Chile and the USA.
