Geotech/ Enviro Driller- Lower Mainland, BC

Geotech  is seeking another motivated Vancouver based Geotechnical/Environmental Driller to join our growing team.  The successful candidate must be willing to travel for extended periods of time.

As a Geo/Enviro Driller at Geotech you must:

  • Have 2+ years’ experience with Geotechnical or Environmental drilling;
  • Have experience with mud/air rotary, ODEX or various coring methodologies;
  • Possess at minimum a valid Class 5 Driver’s License;
  • Be physically capable of regular and repetitive lifts;
  • Have mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment;
  • Have experience working in remote and/ or varied weather conditions for extended periods of time, and;
  • Have a positive attitude, be self-motivated and the willingness to work hard.

  • 1-2 years experience in geotechnical, environmental or exploration drilling (diamond drilling)

HSE Administrator – Prince George, BC

Geotech is actively seeking a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Administrator to join our head office in Prince George.  The HSE Administrator is a skilled multitasker with superior time management and administrative skills. Ideally the candidate will understand safety programs and how they relate to industry but full training will be provided.  This exciting and dynamic role will incorporate a variety of health and safety related tasks as well as general administration. You will work with numerous departments to successfully administer the HSE program across the Geotech group of companies.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Handle Hazzard ID, Near Miss and Incident reporting
  • All paperwork associated with WorkSafe BC including forms 6 and 7
  • Assist with database management and programs pertaining to HSE including IsNetworld, Comply Works, Certificate of Recognition, the National Safety Code, etc.
  • Run health and safety orientations for new hires
  • HSE related administration including filling, data entry and document control
  • Assist in answering incoming phone calls and direct them accordingly
  • Special projects as required
  • Work with the Health, Safety and Training Manager, Human Resources and other departments when required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Health and Safety related role considered an asset but not mandatory
  • Experience for a project based business considered an asset (i.e., Drilling, Construction, Mining)
  • 2+ years’ experience in a professional office environment or a combination of schooling (i.e., Office Administration Certificate) and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal, written communication
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Outlook, MS Word and Excel
  • Flexible nature and a positive outlook.
