Drill Assistant – Western and Northern Canada

Geotech is seeking motivated Drill Assistants for projects across Western and Northern Canada.

As a minimum the Drill Assistant must:

  • Possess at least a valid Class 5/ 7 Driver’s Licence:
  • Be physically capable of regular and repetitive lifts (50-80lbs);
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening;
  • Have basic mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment;
  • Have experience working in the field, in remote and/ or varied weather conditions for extended periods of time, and;
  • Have a positive attitude, be self-motivated and the willingness to work hard.

Operations Clerk: Delta, BC

Geotech is actively seeking an Operations Clerk to join our Delta team.  The Operations Clerk must be a motivated go-getter with superior problem solving abilities. You must be able to handle stress and tight deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude as you support a number of departments. This position offers flexible hours of 20-40 hours and can be adjusted to fit your schedule.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Operations related paperwork for the Delta office
  • Assist with purchasing, ordering and delivering of supplies
  • Miscellaneous administrative tasks including data entry
  • Answering incoming phone calls and directing them accordingly
  • Filing, photocopying and scanning as required
  • Special projects as required
  • Work with Administration, Project Management and Operations personnel as needed


  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • 2+ years’ experience in an office environment or a combination of schooling (i.e., Office Administration Certificate) and experience
  • Industrial labour experience considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal, written communication
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Flexible nature and a positive outlook

Warehouse Technician: Prince George, BC

Geotech is actively seeking a Warehouse Technician to join our Prince George team.  The Warehouse Technician (WT) is accountable for the effective coordination and efficiency of shipping and receiving activities and rental items in the warehouse. The WT is required to have an extensive knowledge of the warehouse and all inventory. This individual has the ability to take initiative, be flexible with an ever changing workload and exhibit strong organizational skill.

General duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving, Operations and Yard staff where required.
  • Fill and complete requisitions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and shared with appropriate parties.
  • Assist in shipping, receiving and inventory management.
  • Ensure internal and external rentals are available upon request.
  • Process weekly and monthly reports including damages, returns and currently rented items.
  • Ensure rentals are returned in a timely manner.
  • Inspect incoming load requisitions for expected rentals.
  • Maintain tracking mechanism for rentals.
  • Create requisitions for rental/internal kits that require restocking.
  • Conduct sign in/out of rental and internal kits.
  • Other duties as required.

Ideally applicants will have:

  • At least 2 years’ of successful warehousing, shipping and receiving or inventory management experience;
  • Heavy industry and forklift experience considered an asset;
  • Ability to organize work, make decisions, and set priorities;
  • Working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Excel and other inventory management systems;
  • Knowledge of the drilling industry considered an asset;
  • An excellent attitude and the willingness to learn and adapt in a fast paced environment.
